Drilling in Canada
- Researched, designed and drilled the deepest in-situ Coal Gasification wells in the world.
- Drilled high-pressure critical sour gas wells with H2S concentration levels up to 35%.
- Drilled horizontal wells with a horizontal section in excess of 3,000 meters in Alberta.
- Designed and drilled a long-life, acid-gas disposal well for a 60 MMcf/d sour gas plant.
- Drilled multi-lateral horizontal wells in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
- Drilled horizontal re-entries of existing vertical wells in southeast Saskatchewan and northwest Alberta.
- Drilled extended-reach wells under rivers and lakes in Alberta.
- Drilled minimal disturbance wells in environmentally-sensitive areas.
- Drilled record penetration-rate wells with both water-based muds and oil-based muds.
- Drilled with oil muds using sump-less technology including new cleaning, drying and composting technology for the solids on-site.
- Drilled under-balanced wells into extremely under-pressured reservoirs.
- Drilled high-speed shallow gas well projects using a team of surface casing rigs and high speed top-drive.
- Used batch drilling techniques for a production pad development from which up to 10 wells were drilled from each pad.
- Drilled offshore wells, up to 6000 meters in depth, on the Grand Banks off the east coast of Canada.
- Utilized air drilling techniques in metamorphic formations in New Brunswick.
- Provided sump-less drilling with fresh water to facilitate land spraying of waste fluids and cuttings.
- Supervised horizontal wells for steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) wells in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
